WHY FOOTBALL?

We are absolutely convinced that football is a very good tool to spread information about HIV/AIDS. Especially in southern Africa where football is the national sport in all 14 countries. In Lusaka 's 11 compounds football is played barefoot everywhere on dusty gravel/dirt grounds using footballs made from clothes and tape. For these kids the players of Chiparamba are heroes and role models. Partly because they are role models outside the football fields but also because they are very skilled football players. Children of Lusaka look up to the Chiparamba players when they visit different compounds to teach kids to play football and inform about HIV/AIDS.
